Yellowfingers on tour!
We had been on holiday cruising the rivers Bure and Ant on the Norfolk Broads. It was rude not to sample the ‘only Indian Restaurant on the Norfolk broads’ while here, so, early on a Monday evening this is what we did.
Apparently its been recently refurnished to bring it into the 21st century, and has a large TV showing Bollywood style movies while you eat-however this was only background noise and you could still hold a conversation without this being a nuisance.
Angie had a chicken pakora starter, I had a sheesh kebab, which was a good as you get anywhere, however Ange reported her chicken was a bit ‘overcooked’.
My next dish was a Chicken Korai (£7.15) and was fairly good, medium spiced, but some (but not all) of my chicken was a little stringy too.
One thing of note was the Raj Nan I ordered. Keema, Garlic and Chili. Everywhere should do these and was the highlight for me. Lush.
The waiting staff were extremely pleasant, commented on my accent as I wasn’t a local, and made our visit worthwhile.
A pretty good Indian, one I wouldn’t have a problem returning to.
